5MB HARD DISK DRIVE, 1956

January 7th, 2012

Looking at this photo from 1956 I am reminded of the first Davong hard drive I saw for the IBM PC which was also 5MB and the size of a shoebox.   Now the average USB memory stick you carry around is minimally 800 times the capacity of this drive!   Proof of Moore's Law.
