Three-quarters of US small firms have not tested website cybersecurity

November 17th, 2011

The internet can be the "Wild West".   There are some pretty bad folks out there trying to steal your banking credentials or your identity.  Some firms also face the issue of industrial esponiage.  That could be stealing intellectual property or customer lists.   Then there are the issues of viruses, trojans and spybots.   No matter what the size business or organization you have it is important to have an intelligent, pro-active security plan.   You wouldn't leave the front door of your business unlocked, with the alarm turned off and the file cabinets open at night.  However, you may be doing just that with unsecure wireless, simplistic consumer grade firewalls, a poor anti-virus and anti-malware strategy, and a poor computer and server patching strategy.

CSI helps our clients with these issues every day.   We can help assess what you have and make recommendations as to what you can do to improve your security posture based on your needs and budget.   Our Paladin Monitoring service also provides pro-active monitoring to keep tabs on what is going on with your equipment both from a security standpoint as well.
