Links in Excel are broken, error on file save, after applying security update MS11-072

Here is a post from Microsoft TechNet discussing issues with Microsoft Excel that have cropped up since MS11-072 came out and was applied.   The article describes the issue and provides a work around for the two scenarios that Microsoft is seeing.   One is dead links and the other is attempting to save an Excel file to a network drive.
