I wrote this a week ago.   Lisa, for the first time ever, told me the filters would block my Tidbit. This is my version 2.0 with softer words. Increasingly, around the world, we are seeing legal requirements to either prove who you actually are before you can use certain sites.

Last summer a number of our M365 clients were hit with a “Direct Send” attack.   This attack bypassed high-powered spam filters like Barracuda Email Protection and sent emails directly into M365 without any authentication! The threat actor email actually came from a real person at the client!  The email had a malicious attachment.

I am being inundated with stories about historically benign browser extensions that are suddenly turning into malware infostealers overnight. After the articles a few months ago about around 38 doing this, I now saw something that another 100 turned to the dark side.

There are increasing reports of browser extensions doing deep data collection on browser-based users using the permissions granted to install the browser extension. We are not just talking about browser extensions that have converted from seemingly benign extensions to malicious threats.
