Weekly Tech Tidbit – My One and Only “Sales” Post for 2019 – Acquiring Technology

All of us at CSI are techs at heart.   We love talking about technical topics.  However, we do also sell products.  As you go into finalizing your 2019-2020 budgets and summer purchases I just wanted to point out that in 2018 CSI dramatically expanded the products and services we can directly offer you under valid NYS approved contracts.  We know purchasing products and services on approved contracts makes your business officials happy and makes the auditors happy.  Now a whole lot of the products and services that we previously made recommendations for you to purchase elsewhere can now be sourced competitively, directly through CSI.  Those of you doing projects through us know what a great job Lisa does in helping to define and spec out a project so we all know what we are trying to achieve.  Then MaryLynn and Michele do their magic obtaining the products as fast as possible in coordination with Donna who is an expert juggler at managing the all the projects while keeping track of all those widgets so that we might be able to install the equipment in a timely manner.   It is a team effort and honestly a whole lot easier to schedule and successfully implement a complex project when we know where widget "X" and bracket "Y" is coming from and when.

Through our partnership with Synnex Corporation CSI is an approved vendor on the NCPA national purchasing contract which is a legal alternative for our public sector and K-12 clients to either the NYS OGS or Federal GSA IT Schedule 70 contracts.

NCPA (National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance)

NCPA is a leading national government purchasing cooperative working to reduce the cost of goods and services by leveraging the purchasing power of public agencies in all 50 states. NCPA works with a lead public agency, who competitively solicits master contracts. Contracts are awarded based on quality, performance, and most importantly pricing. NCPA contracts are available for use to over 90,000 agencies nationwide in both the public and nonprofit sectors including:

  • K-12
  • Higher Education
  • City
  • County
  • State
  • Healthcare
  • Church/Religious and all Non-profit organizations

If you are not yet a member of NCPA, click here to register to be eligible to participate. It is free to join.

For our NYS public sector, K-12 and municipal clients the NCPA is a valid alternative to the NYS OGS contract and the Federal GSA IT Schedule 70 contracts meeting all the legal requirements. Click below for more information on how to leverage NCPA in NYS.

The bottom line is that if you are looking for products or services, ask Lisa and see if that is something we can now help you with.

Thanks for listening to my one and only 2019 sales technical topic.
