The Cybersecurity news has been pretty depressing over the last week. I read an article that a Cybersecurity insurance company is refusing to pay for a Merck breach incident because it is NotPetya and that is from Russia and was designed as a cyber warfare tool.

Weekly Tech Tidbit – “You will be breached. Plan for failure of your systems. It is all about the backup”

Are Printers The Trojan Horse In Your Network?
We have all heard the story of the Trojan Horse. The Greeks built it and left it in front of Troy. The Greek army left. The Trojans went outside the gates and wheeled it into the city. At night the Greek version of Special Forces jumped out and destroyed Troy.

CSI’s 4th Annual CyberSecurity Event – Tuesday, December 10th – Last Chance To Register!

Weekly Tech Tidbit – Security Steps you can take TODAY
Bob and are now multiple years in discussing the same thing – how to improve your district’s security footprint. For most of that time many ignored our warnings as too hard, too expensive, or “on my list”. But when a member of the family dies, everything becomes very real and suddenly what is impossible becomes […]

Weekly Tech Tidbit – Implementing DNS Security

Weekly Tech Tidbit – Do you know your SA Password?

Image backups are popular with virtualization. File system backups have always been the gold standard since the dawn of backups.

Weekly Tech Tidbit – Welcome back…. new year…. same old security issues
Hopefully, you all had a relatively sane and productive summer. Security-related topics have been in the news for most of the summer with several incidents hitting fairly close to home. Perhaps the question I have been asked the most over the last month or so has been “what do I need to do to protect […]
