Cisco 2950

Cisco Catalyst 2950 Series Switches

The Cisco Catalyst®2950 Series is a line of fixed-configuration, stackable, and standalone switches that provide wire-speed Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. This product line offers two distinct sets of software features and a range of configurations to allow small, mid-sized, and enterprise branch offices to select the right combination for the network edge. The Standard Image (SI) Software offers Cisco IOS® functionality for basic data, video and voice services. For networks with requirements for additional security, advanced quality of service (QoS) and high availability, the Enhanced Image (EI) Software delivers intelligent services such as rate limiting and security filtering for deployment at the network edge.

Cisco 3550

Cisco Catalyst 3550 Series Switches

The Cisco Catalyst® 3550 Series Intelligent Ethernet Switch is a line of stackable, multilayer switches that provide high availability, quality of service (QoS), and security to enhance network operations. With a range of Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet configurations, the Cisco Catalyst 3550 Series is a powerful option for enterprise and metro access applications.

Customers can deploy industry-leading intelligent services, such as advanced quality of service (QoS), rate-limiting, Cisco security access control lists, multicast management, and high-performance IP routing--while maintaining the simplicity of traditional LAN switching. Embedded in the Catalyst 3550 Series is the Cisco Cluster Management Suite (CMS) Software, which allows users to simultaneously configure and troubleshoot multiple Catalyst desktop switches using a standard Web browser. Cisco CMS Software provides new configuration wizards that greatly simplify the implementation of converged applications and network-wide services.

Cisco 4500

Cisco Catalyst 4500 Series Switches

Next generation Cisco Catalyst 4000 family platform for "Intelligent Switching," the Catalyst 4500 Series includes three new Catalyst chassis: Catalyst 4507R (7-slot: redundant Supervisor IV capable), Catalyst 4506 (6-slot) and Catalyst 4503 (3-slot). A key component of Cisco AVVID (Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data), the Catalyst 4500 extends control to Enterprise wiring closets, branch office and Layer 3 distribution points. The Catalyst 4500 is also optimized for business services aggregation and subscriber access in the metropolitan area for network operators and service providers.

Cisco 6500

Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switches

The Catalyst 6500 Series delivers highly available secure converged network services for Enterprise and Service Provider networks. Designed to address the increased requirements for gigabit scalability, high-availability, rich services, and multilayer switching in backbone, distribution, and wiring closet topologies as well as datacenter environments, the Catalyst 6500 Series delivers exceptional scalability and price/performance, supporting a wide range of interface densities, performance, and integration of powerful services modules. By combining superior control-plane and packet-forwarding scalability with a rich set of intelligent services, the Catalyst 6500 Series delivers the foundation for new-world Enterprise and Service Provider solutions, such as converged voice/video/data and e-commerce services.

Cisco Catalyst security and virtual private network (VPN) systems provide turnkey solutions for deploying high-performance firewall or VPN services in enterprise and service-provider environments. The product line consists of four easy-to-order, preconfigured systems--two firewall security systems and two IP Security (IPSec) VPN systems, all based on the market-leading Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series--meeting a broad range of operational and expandability requirements. The systems come fully integrated with a processor, a high-performance firewall or VPN service engine, and dual Gigabit-Ethernet interfaces.

Cisco 12000

Cisco 12000 Series Internet Routers

The Cisco 12000 Series Internet Router is part of Cisco's family of multimillion packets-per-second (pps) IP and MPLS routing platforms for building profitable networks in today's communications economy. The Cisco 12000 Series is the premier high-end routing platform for service provider backbone and edge applications, enabling service providers to meet the challenge of building packet networks to satisfy services demand while increasing profitability. The Cisco 12000 Series offers the only portfolio of 10 Gbps per slot systems and interfaces (including Packet over SONET [POS], Dynamic Packet Transport/Resilient Packet Ring [DPT/RPR], and Gigabit Ethernet [GbE]), delivering 10G economies of scale anywhere in the network.

The Cisco 12000 Series provides the highest reliability, the richest set of service enablers, the lowest total cost of ownership, and the only proven investment protection, including systems that can be upgraded in the field to increase switching capacity. This innovative combination of features and capabilities enables service providers to build the most competitive IP and MPLS networks.

Cisco 7600

Cisco 7600 Series Internet Routers

The Cisco 7600 Series Internet Router delivers high-performance WAN and MAN networking with line-rate IP services. Now, service providers and enterprises can "service enable" and scale their networks from OC-48/STM-16 to DS0 to offer differentiated services to both customers and remote sites.

The Cisco 7600 embodies the strengths of the leading-edge midrange routing products from Cisco, offering greater performance, scalability, and breadth of interfaces than any other router platform in the same class. An Evolution in Networking The Cisco 7600 Internet Router is a bundled solution that takes advantage of the core foundation elements and architectural excellence of the Cisco Catalyst 6500 Series Switch and Cisco 7500 Series Internet Router. Combined with the Optical Service Modules, the Cisco 7600 creates a WAN and MAN edge solution that delivers the features, performance, scalability, and interfaces that today's rigorous network environments demand.
